Description: Fishing vessel leaving Burnie for the last race to Stanley, Tasmania. In 1950 Vic Hardy bought the 64ft double ended hull of a new boat in Melbourne and after towing it to Stanley fitted it as a two-masted ketch with a 114 hp diesel engine and the latest electronic fishing technology of that time and named it V.S.P. It was for many years the top shark boat in the Bass Strait shipping fleet.
