Description: 1936 Stanley Football team that broke the drought. It was celebrations all round when Stanley football team won its first premiership for forty years in the Circular Head Football Finals in 1936. The teams previous final win was in 1896. In 1936 Stanley beat Irishtown comfortably at Smithton, Tasmania. The team was coached by Albert Thompson and captained by Dick Laughton.
