"Toroa" Jug

Description: Cream coloured milk or cream jug with brown circular band with repeating white pattern. Inscribed on base is a map of Tasmania & "Phaidon". Also a map of Tasmania at base of the handle. The jug came from the Toroa. A number of the early settlers on Flinders Island travelled on the Toroa. The Toroa, a steel steamship built in 1899 was wrecked off Settlement Point on April 11, 1916.
