      Date: 1902 -

Description: The box is wooden and was made from packing cases. It has decorative metal corner protectors with a handle on both sides. It was customary for girls to start their glory boxes by the age of 15 or 16. It was used to store items such as linen and knick-knacks for their homes when they married. This one belonged to Martha Howard.
