      Description: This example is a paper letter card, addressed to Miss Bertha Davis, Trumpeter Bay, North Bruny. The envelope bears the inscription, "Commonwealth of Australia" and has a one penny stamp attached. Others in this collection bear the the inscription "On Active" service and are stamped with the words "Passed by Censor" and were written by both Ben Vaughan and his brother, William during World War I and ceased when they were both killed in action.
