Apple labels, such as these were stuck onto apple and pear cases in order to identify the grower and the area where the fruit was grown. The size of the labes varies, generally 15-22cm by 25-30cm. Some of the labels are simple in design and use of colour and others are elaborate drawings of fruit and landscapes. The labels include, W.D. Peacock & Co., Tas Fruit, Clements & Marshall, Jones & Co., Paterson & Co., Blue Moon, W.H. Ikin & Son, Cygnet Co-Op., Walton.
