Description: Cylindrical black plastic barrel which would hold 60 mutton-birds. Screw on lid. The side of the barrel has been painted white and has the handwritten inscription 60 BIRDS, LLOYDS HOTEL, PH 314966. Plastic barrels eventually replaced the wooden casks as a means of storing and transporting mutton-birds. One of the original artefacts in the replica mutton-bird processing shed.
