Description: This dwelling is situated at No. 60 Meander Valley Road in Westbury, Tasmania. The building was originally designed and built to be used as a private hospital and residence but was never used for this purpose. Mr. Peter Mantach operated a small produce store on this property in the early 1920's until his death on the 6th. February 1926. A section of a building at this address was removed and transported to the Westbury Sports and Recreation Ground and converted into a Girl Guide hall. The Pitham family occupied this home for three and a half decades. The photograph was taken the northern direction in August 1991.
