      Description: Sepia photograph of George Anderson who was a Circular Head, Tasmania pioneer. George was born in Boyndie, Scotland and arrived in Stanley in 1853 and the following year he married Jane Smith and settled on 'Boyndie' at Black River. His descendants became some of Circular Head's best axemen. He was the Marine Board Master Warden from 1882-1895.
