      Description: B/W photo-copy of Original Photograph of Matthew Fitzpatrick Snr. His son Matthew Jnr was schooled in England he returned to Cygnet in1865, he founded the Port Cygnet Coalfield and became 1st Warden of Cygnet.. Matthew Fitzpatrick Snr came to Cygnet in 1837 with his family. In 1858 Matthew Snr was propietor of the Travellers Rest hotel in Petcheys bay and in 1860 donated land for the Catholic Church at Cygnet.
