Description: The National Bank of Tasmania Limited at Stanley with a gent in the doorway, there is also a man on a bike and a woman and three children standing nearby. A rail on the street appears to be for tethering horses. The bank's Stanley branch was established in June 1886 in part of HG Spicers premises. In 1887 a block was purchased in Church Street for 150 pounds and this weather board structure was built. The building was replaced by a brick building in 1905.
