      Description: Jar with coloured scene of Pegwell Bay, Cornwall. From the barque KATHERINE SHARER. Would have contained potted shrimp from Pegwell Bay, Cornwall (where most of English shrimp came from.) Made by Pratt & Co in the early 1850s. KATHERINE SHARER was built in England in 1850 and wrecked by fire Port Esperance in 1855. Jar salvaged 1955. (On wooden stand with inscribed plate.)
