Description: Designed and built by James Mackey in 1872,WARATAH, owned by William Fisher and the first command of his son, traded mostly to Queensland and other intercolonial ports. When first launched she was the only square rigger built in Tasmania with a centreboard. This meant she didn't need to spend time and money loading up and getting rid of ballast.
