Description: Oil painting of the wreck of the Farsund, off Vansittart Island. Framed in limed timber and signed N.Riddle (m McCarthy). The Farsund, a steel-hulled Norwegian barque, ran aground on Vansittart Shoals northeast of Cape Barren Island on 10 March 1912. The remains of this wreck are still visible in 2005
