Description: Two halves of a white clay pipe found on beach at George Marshall camp site in Marshall Bay. Bowl is embossed and some iron staining. The George Marshall was beached on 15th January, 1862 at Marshall Bay, Flinders Island having been holed by hitting a rock off the Kent group the previous day. All crew and passengers were saved and camped in the dunes until rescued.
