Description: An office stamp with black wooden handle, grey metal base with lever for changing date on one side, and rubber imprint. Stamp prints "FLINDERS ISLAND - DATE (changeable) - FLIGHT SERVICE UNIT". This rubber stamp was used daily at Flinders Island Aerodrome to stamp all documents etc.. Originally known as Aeradio; and manned by Communication Officers from 1945 to 1966, it then became known as Flight Service Unit (F.S.U.). This stamp was used from then until the F.S.U. was closed down on the 12 November 1973.
