Description: Life boat from the 'Japaret,' used to carry supplies to Australian troops in Vietnam. This type of aluminium life boat was developed during the Vietnam War when the Navy was experimenting with various materials. It didn't perform well in the water and there are few left due to corrosion. It used a Fleming gear box for propulsion.
