      Description: This church is situated near the village of Hagley in Tasmania. Sir Richard Dry, who owned the nearby Quamby Estate donated 13 acres of land for the construction. The foundation stone for the church was laid on the 10th of December 1861. The Church of England (Anglican) structure was officially opened on the 25th of November 1862 in the presence of the Tasmanian Governor, Colonel T. Gore-Browne. On the 24th. August 1871, St. Mary's was consecrated by the Lord Bishop, the Right Reverend C.H.Bromby. This photograph was taken from the south-eastern direction after a recent snowfall on the 10th. of May 1915.
