May have been used for embossed decoration on a vase or embossed paper or for a plaque. Inscribed on the base and side "WOOD & CALDWELL". Found at the George Marshall wreck encampment in the dunes of Marshall Bay. The George Marshall was beached on 15th January, 1862 at Marshall Bay, Flinders Island having been holed by hitting a rock off the Kent group the previous day. All crew and passengers were saved and camped in the dunes until rescued.
