Description: This 1840's structure is situated on the corner of King and Adelaide Streets in Westbury, Tasmania. The slate roofed building was the original home of Thomas and Mary White who operated a General Store at this address. Early Methodist (Uniting) Church meeting were held here prior to the construction of the first Methodist Chapel in William Street in 1848. The single storey structure was later converted into a bakery. Today a working bakery and bakers shop operates from this site. The photograph was taken from the north eastern direction in Octobr 2004.
