Creator(s): Poulson, Bruce Date: 1998 - Description: Contains long interview on his (Charlie Plummer's) 90+ years in Southport. He was born October 1909. His brother Basil Plummer, MHA Franklin, 1937-1941, was a Government Minister. His father was a storekeeper for Robert Hay & Sons, who later set up his own store and boarding house and taxi service at Southport. Charlie became an orchardist working on his father's small holding of 1200 trees. He owned the first tractor in Southport. His brother Basil came back from the 2nd World War and went on a Closer Settlement Scheme property at Southport. Charlie has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Southport life over several decades.
