Description: Small oblong glass bottle, possibly a medicine bottle. Rounded bottom edges and an indented neck with a wide flange, half of which is missing. Possibly one of a set held upright in a wooden holder. Found in the sand dunes at Marshall Bay. Probably from the George Marshall beached on 15th January, 1862 at Marshall Bay, Flinders Island having been holed by hitting a rock off the Kent group the previous day. All crew and passengers were saved and camped in the dunes until rescued.
