Description: This timber building is situated at 32 William Street Westbury Tasmania. The structure was built in 1887 to be used as a convent for members of The Sister's of St. Joseph's Order. The five catholic nuns arrived in Westbury on the 24th. May 1887 and quickly established a school. After the opening of a new convent and school in 1940, the original Sister's of St. Joseph's Convent was leased out and later sold and is now a private residence. The image was captured in December 1994 from the eastern direction.
