Birralee Memorial Hall

      Description: This timber structure is situated in the small hamlet of Birralee, north of Westbury in Tasmania. The Community Hall was built by Mr. John Beasley from nearby Frankford. It was opened by Mr. Neil Campbell, M.H.A., who prided himself at this event as it was his first public function after he had gained his seat. The poem "Birralee Past and Present" composed by Mr. Thomas Squires was recited by him at the Opening Day Ceremony on the 20th. April 1922. The photograph was taken from the south-western direction.
