Description: The Pieman River ferryman Johnny Ahrberg was the only resident at the Pieman Heads from 1899 to 1937. He is pictured on the left assisting a Forestry survey party at the Pieman River, Tasmania, in 1930. Johnny Ahrberg is holding the ribbon with F Hoskings, G Beckett is cutting the ribbon.
