Description: The Dehydration Board was set up in 1942 to be in charge of the administration and management of three dehydration plants in Tasmania one at Scottsdale, Ulverstone and Smithton. While an old pioneer factory was used in Scottsdale, Smithton had to build a new plant. Photograph shows men working at the construction site of the Dewpoint Dehydration factory. A ute is parked off the road.
