Description: A wooden cased (veneered plywood) Kriesler mantle valve wireless (radio). Case has rounded corners and three black bakelite knobs for tuning, tone and volume, each knob is a different shape (Possibly two are not original). Brown velvet covers the speaker. There is an on/off switch on one side. and a pilot light on/off switch on the other.The radio was restored to working order by Jim McLean in 1997. Paper capacitors were replaced by ceramic ones. Originally the radio worked on a six volt battery - when it was restored a transformer was installed externally and the radio is operated from a mains switch.
