Tasmanian Tiger Trap

Description: The trap is made of spring steel with a centre jaw which is now locked. The tiger trap was used in the late 1800s in the Woodsdale area to trap tigers, devils and other animals as these carnivorous animals killed the land owner's poultry and stock. This trap was also known as a man trap.
