Description: Glass-fronted wooden bookcase with 3 shelves and 2 lockable doors. Inscribed in gold lettering, capital letters: Furneaux Memorial Library. This collection was established by a donation of $100 given by the Furneaux [sic] family of Melbourne during the Captain Cook Bi-Centenary celebrations, June 1971. Due to lack of space in the new Whitemark library built in 1987 the cabinet housing the collection was given to the Museum.
