Description: North-facing stone wall of the Rosny Barn. This building is believed to be one of if not the oldest farm buildings in Tasmania. The wall is constructed of round river stone held together with seashell mortar. The image shows the vertical slots in the top of the wall. These were typical of barns constructed during this period, they allowed air to circulate and reduced the chance of fire in the hay.
