The City of Foochow was built 1864 and wrecked 16th March 1877 between North Point, Flinders Island and Babel Island. The mast of the City of Foochow fell in January 1987 and was rolled into the dunes by members of Furneaux Historical Research Association. Part of the bow is still visible at low tide.
