      Description: Charles 'Black Charlie' O'Connor. Circular Head pioneer who settled at Forest, Tasmania. He arrived in Tasmania in about 1829 and moved to Circular Head c.1843 and settled at Sleepy Hollow at North Forest. It was claimed that he was the first man to drive a team from Launceston to Circular Head and the second to build a house there.
