   Click thumbnail for a larger image. | Description: Beige coloured woven fabric tournique with metal buckle and bamboo tightener. The metal buckle is clearly inscribed "ST. JOHN. REGD 825325". The half cylinder shape has "VAD 605" hand written on each end. There is also a printed stamp, although very faded, at the end of the tournique.This item is part of a collection which belonged to Mrs. Alice Elliot, whose husband was Col. Elliot. Alice was a nurse during WWI and during WWII she joined the Tasmanian Volunteer Services.
