      Date: 1880 -

Description: Handmade wooden handle with a right angled blade designed to cut compact hay into blocks suitable for animal feed. The knife would require the use of two hands to operate it with a sawing motion. The blade appears to be hand forged as the top of the blade is not perfectly straight. This hay cutter was used on the land by Len Wagner.
