Description: This timber structure was situated on the Meander Valley Road in the village of Hagley in Tasmania. The community hall was built in 1887 on the eastern side of the Hagley Hotel. Local building contractors, Mr. Robert Roe and Sons constructed the hall and named it in honour of a village in England of that name from which the family originated. The structure was the venue for various social, musical and sporting events for many decades. The building was demolished in the late 1950's. The photograph was taken from the north-eastern direction.
