      Description: Sepia postcard from Hannah Walter (nee Cunningham) to her brother Dave during his service in World War 1 showing Pearl and Elma Ward and their mother Mrs Mary Ward (her husband was Chester Ward the Smithton bootmaker) pictured at the scene of a derailment on the Brittons Swamp Tramway in the forest at Christmas Hills, Tasmania. The line was constructed to carry mainly timber but it did give access to the Circular Head hinterland.
