Description: Postcard with the following message: Dear Madge, I am sending a card of Smithton. The cross in the centre is our Boarding House and just above the mark on the right is the wharf nearly a mile long there is another wharf marked one, and the cross on the left top corner is the Post Office, a fine building too. The factory we are building is about two hundred yards along the road marked X farther along the road than is shown here. This is only part of the town. Best love. Wilf. Picture is an early view of Smithton, Tasmania, looking north and north-west towards mouth of the Duck River and towards Montagu.
