Description: WATERWITCH,ex HMS FALCON, owned by Alexander McGregor, was said to be the most consistently successful of the Hobart whalers. But success was not without danger. On one voyage the crew had to cut the line to a whale when it got caught around the leg of the mate and on another occasion one of their boats was smashed by the flick of a whale's tail. After her last voyage in 1895 she was towed to the Domain to be broken up.
