Description: A 66 foot wooden screw steamship built in Sydney in 1897,in 1901 Seabird was purchased by Gulliver and Calvert to provide a regular service to South Arm, Pittwater and the Tasman Peninsula. She was chartered by the Government in 1905 to search for possible survivors from the Brier Holme at Port Davey. Signs of a survivor were seen but he was not located. In 1909 Seabird was called on to tow a damaged ketch back from Adventure Bay. She arrived too late, and she also became a casualty when her anchor chain parted and she drifted ashore.
