Description: This structure was situated at No. 36 William Street in Westbury, Tasmania. Mr. Peter Joseph owned a shop at this address in the early 1900's. The building was used as a private dwelling for a number of years. Mr. D.Donovan and later, Mr. A. Murfett operated a hardware business here in the 1970's-1980's era. The former shop and residence was demolished in the early 1990's to make room for a supermarket extension. The metal verandah columns and the large shop-windows were recycled and used in other buildings in William Street. The image was taken from the north-eastern direction in December 1991.
