      Date: 1950 -

Description: An oiled, wooden vertical paling building of simple design. A corrugated iron hip roof. One half of roof is the original heavy gauge galvanised iron that is no longer manufactured. the other half has been replaced with modern gauge galvanised corrugated iron. A green painted wooden door enters into a vestibule that goes into the office via a white painted stable door. The office has a small window and there is a wooden shelf on the window wall. The office and vestibule are lined with masonite and the floor is covered with well worn linoleum with a green pattern. The office is furnished with a desk and chairs.This building was the Works Office for the Agricultural Bank, which managed the War Service Land Settlement Scheme on Flinders Island. The Office was originally located at Summer Camp, Flinders Island. The building and its contents were transported from the site at Summer Camp to the Furneaux Museum in the1980's. The last user of the office was Basil Eastoe. His desk and the contents of the office are as he left them.
