Description: Two plywood discs, decorated with a floral motif in the middle and poker worked triangles around the circumferences. The discs have one cord for tying them together and another for hanging the whole, in the case of it being used as an ornamental object rather than a practical one.. It was the practice to keep freshly laundered doyleys flat between the discs. Doyleys are small ornamental, often embroidered or crocheted mats to go under vases and other items.
