Description: An oval, galvanised 'tin' bath, actually galvanised mild steel. Constructed in two halves joined by seams, with a separately applied base. A handle at each end inserted through two rings. Two decorative indentations around sides. Used for washing and bathing during mutton- birding seasons. Conditions in mutton- birding sheds were primitive until at least the1950's. One of the original artefacts in the replica mutton-bird processing shed.
