      Description: In 1874 Farr was mate on the brig PRAIRIE on a disasterous voyage around Australia. The vessel delivered a general cargo and some horses to Queensland, passed through Torres Straits, on to Darwin and then to Browse Island. While transporting guano to the ship a dinghy carrying the captain and 5 crew sank on the reef.
