Description: Brass sextant in a wooden case. Sextant has a white scale inscribed in black. Sextant originally came from the wreck of the iron barque Eden Holme which was wrecked at the Tamar Heads in 1907. The sextant became the property of Charles Goer, grandson of John Maynard Jnr and son of Mabel Oceania Maynard. The sextant was donated to the Museum by Vera Goer, widow of Charles.
