Description: Willie Mansell 'opening' ( gutting ) muttonbirds in the opening room shed. The racks of birds in the background are placed there to cool the birds down before opening them. They take all day to cool down after catching them. They open the birds in the night time after a days catch. It takes around three hours with three to four people to open several hundred birds.
