Description: Denny Cruikshank at his house at Balfour, Tasmania. Bill Gale husband of Lennice Gale is visiting with his dogs . Mr Cruikshank was one of the tin scratchers who continued to live at Balfour until the 1940s. At times he would cut ferns or help with the cattle at Kaywood farm at Temma to supplement his income and for company because of the isolation.
