Description: An unlined three room shed, constructed and furnished as a typical replica of the mutton-bird processing sheds used in the Furneaux Group circa 1920. Oiled board exterior, interior partition walls are constructed from palings salvaged from a house that was built on Kangaroo Island in 1891. Home made windows with timber shutters and hessian screens, the only interior door is a hessian covered frame. On a concrete base strewn with dried tussock grass - the original sheds would have had dirt floors strewn with the grass. Furnished with original artefacts used in mutton-bird sheds of that era.
