Folding doors closed to hide the altar after a church meeting and then the main section could be used for community social life. In pre-war years dances were held fortnightly in this hall. People either walked, rode horses or travelled in buggies to attend. The building was extended in 1950s just before a new church was built and it was then sold to the community to be used as the local hall. It was demolished in 1986 because of lack of use.
