Description: Black and white photograph taken in 1925 of Goldie Street Wynyard Tasmania. The photograph was taken at the Jackson Street intersection looking west, the Federal Hotel (middle pub) is on the left. The next large building is the Central Hall which was used for dances,balls and pictures until 1955. On the right is the Commercial Bank of Australia (now the ANZ Bank) built in 1912 and is folllowed by the Post Office, Roman Catholic Church with its distinctive Dome and the Mt.Lyell Hotel. Note the Suspended Street Lighting.
